Hi! Welcome to SURFSPOT Thailand. We are a windsurfing, kitesurfing and kiteboarding centre conveniently located in Hua Hin, just south of Bangkok.

We provide a range of services including equipment rental, storage, repair and lessons. We also have a wide range of the latest windsurfing and kitesurfing equipment at the best prices. We stock Naish, North, Slingshot and Gaastra.

If you're interested in learning kiteboarding, we have IKO instructors, and we use the latest 2008 Naish Sigma series kites, which are not only very safe, but very easy to learn with and enjoyable to use. We offer competitive prices for all lessons, and if there is not enough wind we will not waste your time by pretending to teach you. We also teach a maximum of 2 students at a time. Other schools may teach up to 4 students at a time, but we feel that students end up wasting time (and money) waiting for their turn with the kite.

Feel free to bring your non-surfer friends along too as we have wi-fi available, a bar, as well as a restaurant serving delicious Thai and European dishes.

Is kiteboarding easy?
Yes and no, With good instruction,most people enjoy an incredibly fast learning curve. Without instruction,trying to learn kiteboarding can be frustrating and dangerous.

Need to be good shape to kiteboard?
A basic level of fitness is all you need.

Why can't I learn from Video or magazine?
You can learn a lot from vedios and magazines, but there is no substitute for having an instruuctor provide feedback, share local knowledge, maximize safety and customize instruction to your individual needs.

Why take lesson?
1. Save money. You can use the school's kites, boards, bars, etc.
2. Instructor will show students safe shortcuts and will get riders up to speed more efficiently.

Why Windsurfing is for you

It has something for everyone...
At any beach or lake you will see beginners rubbing shoulders with intermediates and experts, but they're all out there enjoy themselve equally. Whether you're 8 years old or 80, taking yyour frist precarious steps on a beginner's board or working out how to pull off the latest trick, the sense of achievement is unsurpassed.

It's never been so easy...
Moderm boards are much wider and easier to stand on than in the early days, while sails are also lighter and more controllable than ever. A few days under the guidance of ggod instructor will see the complete novice progress to the point where they are happily skimming back and forth in relative control, pulling off respectable turns and remaining relatively dry.

It's not just about falling off...
The popular image of windsurfers always fallingin is now obsolete-modern gear is so much easier to use that you only fall in when you're realy going for it. And who cares if you fall in anyway? How many other activities can you think of where you can crash at 30mph and come up laughing? That's one of the great things about windsurfing; the wipe-outs don't hurt!

You don't have to be Superman!
You don't need to be a decathlete to get into windsurfing (although the sport will certainly help keep you fit). Technigue plays a greater part than strength, so women and chidren learn just as quickly and easily as men. The equipment is so much lighter than in the early days, making the boards and rigs easy to carry and handle once on the water.

It's good for you...
Both physically and mentally. Even in the lightest of winds, windsurfing is a mobile and active sport which gets your heart rate pumping, tones your body and helps you become more supple.
It's good for the head too. Yoo can empty your mind of all other worries and stresses while you're out on the water; just enjoy the sensation of being afloat. It's like a detox for your body and brain.

It's a sociable sport...
Expect people you've never met before to come up to you and ask " What size sail? " when you're rigging up on the beach, and then start chatting as if you were old friend. That's just part of the sport. Windsurfers in general are a very nice bunch of people-helpful and always willing to chat, and because the sport has always been a little bit of a fringe activity, everyone who does it feels like they share a common bond. The people you share your bit of water with soon become boddies, whice adds even further to the enjoyment; smiles as you pass each other on the water, imprompyu races and lots of encouragement and advice as you learn the sport.
And of course after sailing there's nothing like a few beers to soothe tried hands. Apres-surf is every bit as lively as apres-ski!

These days many windsurfers take a holiday overseas to sail new venues and explore new places. Just as keen skiers become familiar with the Alps and the Rockies, many windsurfers are regular travellers to Egypt, the Canary Islands and as far away as the Caribbean, South Africa, Australia and Hawaii. Going on a "windsrfari" adds a focus to your holiday - you're not just sitting by the pool in vegetable mode, you're exploring new places, meeting new people who share your passion and having fresh experiences.
